Luminosa Chardonnay

Stella Bella Luminosa Chardonnay is grown in the Luminosa Vineyard located at the top of the Boodjidup Valley in the Wallcliffe district of southern Margaret River. It is made only in exceptional vintages.

The handpicked fruit is whole bunch pressed to extract the free run juice then roughly settled. The juice is racked to barrel and wild yeast fermented to encourage natural complexity and texture.

The wine sees extended lees contact and malolactic fermentation. Bâtonnage (stirring on lees) ensures the right amount of gunflint complexity. It matures in French oak and is bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Pale straw, Stella Bella Luminosa Chardonnay has ripe citrus flavours and effortless power. It is elegant, precise and silky smooth with outstanding persistence. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
